Meet Savannah

Savannah Halpern’s musical journey started with a Casio Keyboard at age three and has since blossomed to playing piano at an audition-only institution. Savannah currently attends high school at Charleston County School of the Arts with a major in piano and is among the top of her class sharing the Junior Marshal honor. She has been playing across genres for seven years.  Her passions range from classical and jazz and also include contemporary and American songbook. Savannah has a wide variety of musical knowledge. She especially loves to play Billy Joel. She is enthusiastic about teaching music to beginner students who are excited to share her love for piano and learn the basics. Not only is Savannah experienced tickling the ivories, but also, she loves working with children. She is experienced in tutoring children in math, reading, and music. As an accomplished pianist who also excels academically, Savannah bridges the arts with scholastics seamlessly. From learning how to read a musical staff, to perfecting the circle of fifths, Savannah is excited to welcome all young beginners to The STEPP!
